Italia. 582 College St., in Little Italy, a few blocks
west of Bathurst (1 block north east of the intersection of Clinton & Gore!)

the same, the jury is still out concerning the kitchen's reliability.

Yonge Street, on the southeast corner of Yonge and Summerhill,
5 or 6 blocks south of St. Clair. Espresso! Cappucino! Café

- Bar Mercurio, at 268 Bloor,
just west of St. George. Take the west exit from the St. George
subway, cross St. George Street, it's just a few doors down,
on the north side of the street. Panini! Espresso! Cappucino!

- Rahier Patisserie. Wonderful European patisserie.
Located at 1586 Bayview (a several blocks
south of Eglinton, on the west side - it moved), +1 416 482 0917.
- Terroni has its own official web page! Downtown, katty-corner
from St. Mike's hospital, at 106 Victoria Street, +1 416 955 0258. Their original Toronto location is
at 720 Queen Street West, a few blocks west of Bathurst,
+1 416 504 0320. There's a new Terroni, on Yonge Street
at Balmoral, 2 blocks south of St. Clair, +1 416 925 4020.
- Soho Bistro, 3202 Yonge
Street at Woburn (2 blocks north of Lawrence). Lovely
ingredients and prepared food. +1 416 488 6554. Soho Bistro is
asociated with L'Escargot Bistro, an excellent restaurant down the
street, on the East side 3187 Yonge St., +1 416 322 0487. Joanne
Kates complained in her review about service, but she complains
about service all the time, and I've no complaint. And as Joanne
says, the food is terrific.
- East Indian: Cuisine of India,
5222 Yonge St., +1 416 229 0377. It's in North York, as my brother
would say, "Northern Canada - north of the 401." Excellent food. It's
the hot tip before a concert at the George Weston Recital Hall.
OK, it's not in Toronto, but file this away: Buca Giovanni Restaurant.
